#5 First month almost passed

This week was fulll of everything, we had classes from Monday to Thursday, from 8 am to 2 pm or so, it was a rough week with many projects and hand-ins.Also I found some news about Denmark, so take a look at it here, danish market opened which is selling ugly and expired food.
At the begining of the week I was still a little bit ill, howeve since we made the tiramisu for Manu on Sunday, we took it to the college on Monday morning to surprise her and wish her a happy birthday! :) We made enough for the whole class and also offered some slices for the lecturers till we had. Our marketing lecturer told us that his wife gave birth to their baby, so it was a great start of the week. After school we went for a small shopping to buy some healthy food for my illness.
Tuesday was still a bit ill, and luckily we didn't have classes from 8, just from 9, so we had a little more time to sleep. During the courses we got some cases to do, and also our lecturer told us one of them is a mandatory to take the exam later. After classes we were planing to stay in the college and do one of these with our group, but it didn't not happend, because some of our group members had another case to do from the previous class which they had to send as soon as possible. Then we had an introduction about the exchange programs if we would like to go from here, however I cannot join any and it's a better choice for me to come here with Erasmus. :D During the evening we started to brainstorming about how we would present our country during the Thursday's night event, we had some many good plans, but we had to stick with that we won't have much time to make it real.
In the middle of the week there were some more cases to work on during classes and also we had a long day, and in the afternoon we planned to work on our project which was a fail again, but we had much better results than before. During the evening we had brainstorming again about the presentation of our country, and we finally came up with a decision what we will do, also collected all the data for it to make it happen on Thursday.
The next day was one of the longest day in the week, we had classes from 8 am till 3 pm and we also had to get ready our team for the InterPub game for the night which suppose to start at 7.30 pm. During the logistics course the lecturer wanted to present our previous work, since it was one of the bests! It was a little surprise for me, however we were also the fastest to solve the case and it happend to be the best as well. :) Afterwards we got some another cases to do during the class and then we had business law, which as the lecturer said to us, it will be a boring lesson, coz even the topic is the most boring part of the whole thing... she did not lie. :( However she tried to make it better with some short videos in the topic, which helped a little to pass the time faster. As I got home the girls from the team was already baking some salty kind of "biscuits" called pogácsa in hungarian. As the others got home we gathered together at Orsi's place to get ready for the night. We were drinking a little of homemade palinka and some other drink and the girls were doing their hair and we also made the final moves on our presentation. I can say that we were the most happy team when we arrived a little bit late to the SDU bar, where it took place. There was a small quiz at the begining where our team came tobe the best along with a French team, at the 2nd point we had to present our country. We made our performance which was mainly to show them our tradition, a little from the folklore life, singing and dancing, the judge were impressed, but they prefered one french team who were singing their national atheme and "building" a tour Eiffel from beer glasses... The last exerrcise was to write a tounge twister in our language then it been mixed and we had to pick one randomly, we got a French one and the Kurdish team got ours, we did not make it easy for them. :D We were quiet good, but seems like not good enough, coz somehow the german team became a winner at the end. What so ever, we were there, we had fun and that's the point! Afterwards we went to Jaqueline's place then in a couple of minutes we went over to Pitstop to have some fun, partying.
Friday was mostly a stay at home day for everyone, however I made a small shopping and made some pudding, while we were watching a movie at Szili and he also invited us for a lunch. Saturday was another, almost do nothing day. During the afternoon we were supposed to go to the volleyball tournament with Nia and Szili, however we were playing some cards before going. First we went to The Old Irish Pub to check on Olivér, how it is going there during the afternoon, afterwards we were  abit hungry, so we went in the Budapest restaurant to eat a burger with Nia. Then we went back to the pub to meet Szili, and he told us the tournament is already over and it wasn't even good... During th evening we had some card games again and went to Oli's place. They started to play a drinking game which we didn't want to join with Nia, and after a while they went to Simion's place, at that point we decided to go back home. On Sunday I've just done my laundry and learned a little for the next week. As always you can check my weekly spending here. This week, I didn't spend so much, luckily, but I need to save up a little for the Copenhagen trip which we might exceed to visit Malmö as well.

#4 Work out in progress

On Sunday night we got an SMS about that our Marketing class will be canceled due to illness, so we didn't have to get up early and we had only one course that day. Afternoon we had a meeting in the gym with a hungarian P.E. teacher who gave us a good plan for working out which we should follow if we want to lift  alittle bit more than now. During the evening we went out with the three austrian girls to the Budapest Restaurant to take a burger then we went to Jaqueline's place to make some good café for Szili. Afterwards they were playing games.
Tuesday we started with a tutor class, where most of the classmates didn't come, however our tutor was there and answered all the questions and also talked about her future what she's expecting from being educated here in IBA. Then we had business law where we got a case study for the last hour to work on. In the afternoon we met up in the gym again to follow the introduction about the work out plan, so we could do it alone next time. At the evening we invite Nia over to taste our freshly made flavour bomob, later Szili joined and we played some card games.
For the next day our marketing teacher came, however he told us he is still not perfectly well. Then we had to take lunch from the school canteen, since we couldn't buy from the shop where we used to, coz they ran out of it, at least from the cheap one's and the next one has like 3 times higher price... Before workout we bought some chocolates as well to pump our blood with some sugar. When we came back from workout I made some caramel drink with milk, and it was soo tasty, everyone wanted to have some more! :D During the time we were also playing some card games till it got late.
On Thursday we had logistics, where we had to work on a small project with 4-5 ppl in each group, it was about a case where the company had to solve it's supplying problems and so. During the organization class we also had some mini group works and at the end we had to make a 30 seconds video about the KAM (Key Accounting Management), it was quite good. After classes we made the same flavor bomb, however this time we used pork meat instead of chicken and we used rice instead of the lot of potatoes. It was also delicious! :) At night we gathered up with the brasilian guys at Jaqueline's place to play some card/drink games, afterwards they went to party, I was too tired to go, so I've just went home instead.
When I got up on Friday I felt a little bit hot, I had a temperature, so I did almost nothing all day, just stay in my bed and drinking hot tea with honey. My roommate helped me out by doing the cooking and so. During the evening Nia also came over to surprise us with some apricot cake, it was very nice of her, however she said it's not as good as it should be, but it was so tasty! :)
Saturday we did nothing special, we've just did some laundry and I watched some movies, while Szili went out to play football with the brasilian guys. We made some soup again with the help of Nia, she always bring some spices in our meals. :P During the night most of my classmates went to have a pre-birthday party for Manu, what I had to skip due to my illness.
On the last day of the week, I started to prepare for the next week, since we will have all week long classes from 8 am to 2 pm. And also we were preparing some surprises for Manuela's birthday what is on Monday. :)
I didn't make much pictures this week, so here is one about an English Pub from the downtown, where you can find a notification on the entrance like that: if you enter here, you leave the EU and the rules are no longer valid, it is the part of the UK, or something similar, the main point is, there you have the English rules for everything if you go in. :)
During the time we were discovering that the danish also have sour cream, and it has only a little difference compared to ours, so we could use it for our meals, so we did. :) We also trying to catch the discounts and buy food at the lowest price possible, since it is our biggest cost while we are here, coming after the apartment of course. And here is the never missing weekly spending.

#3 Workshops and so

We've been going through a long and yet really nice week, there were a lot going on and happening, hopefully it will remain the same, during the mid-weeks when will have a lot more to study and doing group works etc. During the week we had a Chinese week in the canteen.
As starting we've had some courses that we had homeworks from the previous week, afterwards we were chilling, playing cards and listening some music and during the afternoon we took Szili's bike to the guy who made it to be a whole, basicly he put it together. We also made some soup and from the meat we made some good main course, too during the evening:
Tuesday was a short day, however we started at 8 in the morning, but we also finished at 11 am with school, and we had only a tutor class, which was basicly a feedback for the Freshenday and afterwards we had business law. During the afternoon or at evening we went to sign in to the gym with Szili and he started to train me like a real coach, he was explaining me what to do and what it is good for and so on, I think he could be a really good trainer, at least he was motivating me to do it and do not give up!
In the middle of the week, we had the same courses like on Monday, just in a different order. After school we decided that we want to eat something sweet, but we don't want to buy anything, just make our own, so with Manuela and Szili we went to shop some goods for it. Then we went to Manu, to pick some of her stuff to be able to prepare it then to Szili to make it happen. Since it was just a powder what we had to mix with water and oil, it was easy to make, and while it was in the oven we were playing some cards, later Daniel also joined us to play. Afterwards, almost at night we went to the gym with Szili to continue the previous day's process, and now he managed to get me really tired, but at least it make it easier to fall asleep. :)
On Thursday morning we were lucky since we had classes only from 10 am, however we had to be in school till 4 pm, we had financal management and then we had logistics, what we didn't have before, so we had to introduce ourselves again, the teacher is from Poland and she has very similar techniques like my other polish teacher in Belgium, she made us to form different small groups at the time and work together, we had 4 hours in a row, and she managed to make it interesting for us! On the way back we did some shopping and find some cheap meat, so we stock up a little bit. We were about to cook a chicken soup, and I went up to the neighbour girls to let them know about the discount and I also asked Nia if she wants she could help us to make the soup. Since we have only salt and vegeta from Szili, Nia came down with a big amount of spices and with a big pan to make it easier to cook. She made a brilliant soup with all the flavours we missed! During the night we went to Jaqueline's place to warm up for the party, we also met a hungarian guy who lives here since 2 years, there are so many of us! Just a little bit before midnight we arrived to the party, however the place was almost empty, but we could receive our IBA VIP cards. It's been a long party, we met some classmates and some joined later, and also there were a lot of danish student
I had a hard start on Friday, since I've been out at the night before and I couldn't sleep much, however I had 2 workshops and I'm so happy I didn't missed the first one! It was about presentation techniques, we had an impressive lecturer and we also had to work in groups, during the time I met some new guys, guess what? The 2 who I got the most involved with are from Romania! :) Afterwards I had Photoshop, which wasn't that bad, but, well, I didn't learn anything new... As we finished in school we met up with the Austrian girls to go to the mall to buy some customes for Saturday's party, but we end up buying none. :D Still we had some amazing time in the mall, looking at the dinosaur exhibition and Szili bought lamps for his bike and it was quite tricky to open, we had to ask for help from a clock shop's assistant to crack it up and fill it with the batteries. In the way to the mall, we were lucky and the driver let us on the bus without purchasing any tickets, but we didn't have that luck on the way back, and the ticket prices are so high 22 dkk for one trip. As we got back home we've just made some dinner then joined to the Austrian crowed to watch a movie at Jaqueline's place.
Saturday is party day, actually we had a Carnival in Pitstop, however we gathered together at Melody's place before, where we played some card games without cards and headgames, both with phones, afterwards we went to the party. Basically that was all the day, during it I've just started to learn a bit for the next week and also in the evening we went to the gym with Szili. Sunday was mainly just for chilling, we made some cupcakes with Manu&Szili then we watched two movies with Szili, also learned a little, and that was it. As always here is my weekly spending.

#2 First week in the school

Monday was our first day in the school, however we didn't have any classes, we've just had some introduction courses, where the professors and students as tutors explained a lot about IBA. That day we also find out who will be our classmates and how many hungarians are there.
On Tuesday we started with GlobStrat which is quiete similar to one of my classes I had in Belgium which was called Online Business Game. Yes we will kinda play a similar game, luckily because of the Velux they'll pay for the program, the others have to buy it for themselves. During the 2nd course we had to go out to make our CPR number ready, to start the process to get it within a month. Afterwards the librarian came to us to explain about the system, which is pretty good, we can acces a lot of online books and articles from the school and also using the school's VPN from home, so we didn't have to pay for them at all. The last course was about Genetics where we filled out a test and watched a movie and discussed what is it about, how the people grow from generation to generation and so. We also tried the lunch in the school which works fine, you can grab as much meal as you want, but beware, you pay after the weight! For a normal menu, it has a good price compered to other places where you can buy ready to eat meals.
Next day we had some good classes as well, how ever not all of them were really exciting, but they were just fine. During the evening we made a shopping to buy some stuff what we run out of, and that time we went to find a new shop, it wasn't any cheaper than the other and neither closer, just in another direction. And we also went to the other shop that we know better, coz some items were cheaper there and we also bought some fruits!
Thursday was our last day in school, when we actually had classes, first one was marketing which was actually pretty awesome! The professor is just great and he wanted to get know us all, so it also gave us the opportunity to get know eachother a bit better. Than we had busniess law, which was nice, too, the lecturer has a lot of experiences in law since she worked as a lawyer for eleven years. Afterwards we had a class about how to use sources, and how to avoid plagarism, it was also quite useful and they might repeat it once more in the semester, just to make sure we all know it well. During the night we went out to the downtown, to The Old Irish Pub, where are a lot of hungarians working, we met some of our classmates and drunk a few beers, which is quiete expensive there! Also  one of the hungarian bartenders invited us for a free round of shots, it was a nice night out to get know better some of our classmates, and they were from Austria, so yeah the neighborhood stick together. :))
Friday was the Freshenday, when we had like a competition between the new classes, which was cool, there were 5 checkpoints where we had to do different excersises as a group and we get points for each of them. It was a realy good day, however the weather was so bad compered to the sunny Thursday! I felt like our class was really formed a group, so our tutors could be proud of us! During the afternoon Szilveszter and me helped for a hungarian girl, Dori to move a few heavy things to her flat and organise the furnitures inside then we just started to get ready for the night party, which is likely the part of the Freshenday. First we went to the French party, where we met some new faces and then we went out to find a party place and we end up at Pitstop.
During the next day morning I got up early to go to Lidl and Jysk with Dori&her boyfriend, since it's too far from us it was better to do it while we have a car. :) However the prices weren't much lower, but it still worth to go for that few, afterwards we were just chilling all day. During Sunday we've been cleaning our apartment and also went for a little walk in the city.
All in all we've closed a pretty cool week.As you may noticed I changed a few things on the blog, on the right top you can find the direct links for the weekly spending, however I will still link it here too. Compering the danish crone to the hungarian forint, both money has some throwbacks, like in Hungary we don't have cents (called fillér when we had) and no 1 and 2 forint coins since a while, in Denmark they have ore, but only 50 øre coins, so they also do the round up/down as we do to 5 forints. But with the danish money we even lose/win more since 1 crone is around 42 forints, so in the worth/best case you lose/win 25 øres which is about 10 forints. The coins has a unique look, so I made some pictures about them:
