#9 At home & visa interview

Monday was our last full day back in Kolding, before coming home for the Easter holiday, there was nothing special happend, tho. I've been preaparing, cleaning and packing to be almost 100% ready. In the morning I woke up really early to make some sandwiches with starting to bake my bread (pre-made, I did not have to make it actually, just put it in the oven, but still! :D) A bit later as I got everything done in my place, I went to Szili to finish the sandwiches as I run out of meat and then go downstairs and wait for our ride to the airport. Our friend and "trainer" Máté, picked us up and we also took 2 slovakian girlsfrom the college as they also have the same flight to Budapest, Hungary.

As we arrived we've already had some plans for the week, since the brasilians will come on Wednesday to here! After landing we met the slovakians to say bye-bye and go in the city, I met with my brother at his university and went back home together as long as I did not have keys. Later on I spent some time with my family and so. During the next few days I've been at home and went in to Budapest again on Friday morning to have my visa interview for my summer job.
Later on the same day I went back in to spend some time and show the city to the brasilians and we went out to have some fun partying as well. We went out late and I catched my first train in the morning to going back home, however I was so tired and I felt asleep and this was the first time when I forgot to wake up at my stop! So I got off 2 stops later, which meant 20 kilometers and I had to wait almost an hour to get a train back...
During the weekend there was nothing special, I've just had my time with the family and spent our Easter as we used to. As long as I didn't spend much of my scholarship money these days the spending won't so relevant, but I'll refresh it on the side panel, later on, and you'll get some pictures as well. :)

#8 Lángos! and getting ready for the Easter holidays

This week we had a project week, we were playing an online simulation game called GlobStrat and we had to make 1 or 2 decisions each day, I mean decisions to close 1 or 2 years each day and at the end of the week we had to make a presentation about what we did during the week and also had to make a report about it. Since we were working on it the whole week, almost all days, it eats up most of our time, but it's totally worth it! The results are talking to itself, we were the group D and we had a great start, however in the 2nd year we went minus, but we correct it fast in the next year and we were going up straight afterwards. Our focus was on the Enterprises as first and as we were leading the market share of that segment for all the years, that makes sense. :) We were quiete good, however the competition was that big, coz we had only one really big competitor who were going up and up all the day, they did have any down falls not even at the start like us... However in the middle we jumped out to lead the market share worlwide and the profit as well, they were quickly caching up in the last years, but at the end of the game we were still in a leading position, you can check some of our results on the diagrams:
Thursday morning many of the Velux students went home, also my roommate, Daniel, so now I have some time alone in the room till I'll go home for the holiday too. On Friday we had no classes, so I made some shopping and since I forgot to print out my ticket I went to the college to do that. In Fakta ther was the same young cashier that I used to see most of the time, and as there was noone behind me me in the line, I started a small conversation with her, I have to note that it's really great that you can talk in english with almost everyone in this country, even the old people or people with lower education speaks english quiete well. Compared to Hungary, where it is a must to have a lnaguage exam to get a degree, but, well, most of the people just have the paper and they can't say a word...
On Saturday Szili had the idea to make a small house party at his place and bake some lángos! a traditional hungarian streetfood or beach food, as long as most of the time they use to sell it during the summer near the lakes and everywhere else of course. So we went shopping in the early afternoon and geting ready everything to make it when the guests arrive. The guests really liked the lángos, so we made some success with it. We were playing some games and later around midnight we went out to have some fun at The Old Irish Pub and dance. :)
On Sunday I had nothing much to do, so I was just cleaning in the room and getting a little bit ready for the journey to home. And as always you can check my weekly spending here.

Copenhagen - 2 days, bus trip

Saturday morning we woke up at 8 AM, to do some shopping to make sandwiches for the trip. Then we have our breakfast and made a total of 10 sandwiches. We met up with Manu at aorund 9.35 at her place to go to the bus station together and we met the other girls there at around 9.50. The bus was already full, since it was coming from other cities, so we didn't have the chance to sit together. During the way the weather didn't look so good, as long while we were crossing the bridge we could barely see anything because of the fog. Luckily as we arrived to Copenhagen the sky became blue and the sun was shining, and even it was not that cold outside.
We arrived a little bit early to the hotel for check-in, but the recepcionist could offer us 2 rooms that we booked, but on different floors, we agreed on it is okay for us. When we entered the rooms were so tiny, but we had everything what we needed, comfortably beds, private bathroom and towels etc. So we packed out and got ready to walk around the city. We started at around 2 PM, as first we went in the city center to the main shopping street then we were passing by some bridges and got to the Vor Frelser Kirke, which church is famous about it twisted tower, however we could not go in to get in the top, because the queue was so long and also it was closing as early as 4, too bad. Afterwards we went through the city and crossing by many famous and nice buildings such as the Amalienborg Slot, the queen's castle, the Rosenborg Slot, another castle for the royal family. We also went out to the Kastellet and to the little mermaid, yeah it was really small, almost like the manneken pis in Brussels.

Then we were just going through the city again to meet up with Miriam's friend to have dinner. Afterwarrds we went back to the hotel to get a pre-party and go out to a club to enjoy the night life of Copenhagen. The club where we went was soo far from our place, so we had to take a bus, and on the way back the buses weren't that frequent so we took an Uber instead, it was still cheaper then a taxi and for four of us it didn't cost much more than the bus, exactly without having disounted tickets.
In the morning the waking up was a little bit hard, however we didn't leave much things to do or to see. The austrian girls wanted to go shopping, so we split into two groups and with Dusana and Daniel we went to look for some places what we still wanted to see. First we visited a coffee shop which is so unique in the city, but unfortunately it wasn't open. Then we went in to the Guinness World's Record Museum, which was a little bit old school, I mean the idea of it is great and they had a lot of amazing things, but most of the machines they had and the videos they played were outdated or in bad quality. Overall it was nice to see many kind of records that people made.
We went to the queen's garden where they used to grow fruits, vegetables and flowers for the royal family in the previous centuries. It was nice, however we should go back to see in colors, because all we could see was a lot of naked trees without any leaves or flowers. Afterwards we went in the Botanic Garden to warm up and to wonder around some rare spices of the flora.
And then we headed back to the city center to meet up with the other girls and Miriam's friend to have some lunch and buy some souvenirs. As we finished with it we had to rush back to the hotel to take our lugagges and hurry to the bus station to catch our bus back to Kolding. We were just in time and arrived back to Kolding at a dark evening around 8 PM. Then we walked back home and got ready for tomorrow to have our project week started and work with GlobStrat all week long...

#7 International Women's Day and more

Monday morning we had marketing, and our teacher really put an effort to cheer us up, he made us to do some excersice is, almost like on a P.E. lesson, and as a result we've been a little bit happier than before. Afterwards we had some more courses and we were also had to think through our plans for the weekend as long as the group who wanted to go to Copenhagen greatly reduced to the half of it. During the next day we made the final decisions and bought the bus tickets and made the reservation for the hotel, and also that was: The Women's Day! I didn't do much, nor like a year ago, I've just surprised the women of our flat, who use to cook some soup for us with a smile on her face. :) So I made a yoghurt cake and we also bought some tulips for her, look at her happy smiley face:
How to make circle without a circle form? that was  my question when I started the process, and I came up with any easy solution, as long as we are using aluminium foil for all the time when we are using the oven, I took some and wraped them around a pan to have a circle from then take it off and voilá! :)
In the middle of the week we had a free day, so I've just started to work with my hand-ins and so to be prepared for school in the upcoming day. During the day there were some problems with the online college system, so we couldn't check the timetable and we could not log in to blackboard, that caused we went early in the school next morning... :D That wasn't a problem at all, we took our time to get more prepared for the classes. We got some cases to work with during the class and also got a new one for home to do it for the next lesson. In the evening I spent some time with the neighbour girls, at Nia, later she came to play some cards. :)
On Friday I spent some time with the girls again, planing the next months what to do and where to go and so. I also met with Szili and played some cards and talking about what's going on and on... :)
Next morning I went to Fakta to buy some goods before heading to Copenhagen with a group from our college, but you will get a diveded post just about the trip later on, as long as we will arrive back on Sunday at around the time when this post goes live. However you'll be able to see my spending here as usual, but it will be updated only after we arrived home and I had some time to do so.

#6 Planing and so...

We had a free Monday!!! :D and what else it was the day when we arrived a month ago, so for celebrating it I made a cake for us. :) Before we made a small shopping and when the cake was ready we invited Nia over to join us for some card games and to taste the cake.
On Tuesday we started our classes at 9 am only with business law, for the next we have to make a case study to hand-in. Afterwards we had marketing where we also got some exercises to do for the next lesson, which was on the next day, so as we got back from college we started to work on it to make it ready for the next day.
In the middle of the week we got an SMS in the early morning about that our first course is canceled due to illness of the lecturer, too bad we had to wake up already to see it... Then we had marketing where we had to discuss the case from the previous lesson and we also made some other exciting exercises. After classes Szili needed some help to take a furniture into his flat, and while we were doing that Daniel went to shop some discounted meet, he was that lucky and found some spiced ones which were really great. During the evening we were playing cards again. :)
On Thursday we had only logistics, but 4 of it, we also got some case studies to do for the next lesson. After the class we also discussed a little about the business law case with my group and started to fix the plans for next weekend, however it doesn't seem like it will going to happen... :(
During the weekend I didn't did much, just trying to work on my projects and that's it, we were playing some cards with the guys and also talking about a lot of stuff like college, travelling etc.
I'm so sorry I do not have any unique pictures for this week, but there was nothing unsual, expect the cake at the begining of the week, but I forgot to take any picture about it. Anyway you can find my spending here just as usual, and as you can see this week was a record low in spending, it was mainly because we bought a lot in the previous weeks and we just used up the food we had.
